(S09) Symposium Lunch - Taking Control of Leakage - Across the Care Continuum

The moderated session will feature a transdisciplinary panel, including a person living with an ostomy, a colorectal surgeon, and two WOC nurses. The discussion will focus on the holistic impact that leakage has across the continuum of care – on clinicians and their patients. The panel of experts will discuss approaches to foster stronger communication and collaboration between WOC nurses and colorectal surgeons, highlighting ways that each can enhance the patient care experience. Each panelist has found innovative approaches to leverage their role to address leakage and elevate the standard of ostomy care, and will share insights how they – and you – can make a meaningful difference.
