(IH01) Innovation Hub Presentation - ER Strategies to Prevent Hospital-Acquired Pressure Injuries

This session will review the recent evidence regarding pressure injuries and patients that are boarded in the ER for extended periods of time before admission to the hospital. The speaker will review the strategies put in place to assist the ER team with an abbreviated skin assessment to identify high risk patients. They will also review the preventative strategies that were implemented to decrease the number of hospital-acquired pressure injuries that might originate in the ER.
