Kim Winne is a certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse with experience supporting both acute care and outpatient populations. In her current full-time role, she provides specialized care for hospitalized patients while also delivering comprehensive ostomy education and follow up for outpatients.
Kim’s background includes serving as a Clinical Educator, where she led onboarding and ongoing education for RNs and PCAs, developed curriculum and competency plans, and ensured regulatory compliance across clinical teams. She has contributed to her organization as a long-standing member and coordinator of the Hospital Skin Team, a Clinical Coordinator, and WOCN Wound Treatment Associate course instructor.
Her years of work in skin health, pressure injury prevention, and staff development inspired her to pursue WOCN certification, recognizing the critical need for expert guidance and education in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence care. Kim has participated in multiple organization wide initiatives, including contributions to an Early Mobilization project presented at a Magnet conference.
