Maya Angelou once said, “You can’t really know where you are going until you know where you have been.” This sentiment perfectly captures our current stance on convexity in clinical practice. Over the past five years, the development and application of convex products, along with the supporting evidence, have significantly enhanced the care provided to patients with ostomies. This symposium provides an opportunity to reflect on our journey, evaluate our current practices, and explore future directions for the use of convexity.
