Description

The benefits of trauma-informed wound care include improved patient outcomes, increased patient satisfaction and reduced healthcare costs. This session will review the foundational science of positive and adverse childhood experiences, the intersection of risks generated by adverse childhood experiences with the risk factors for wounding, and an introduction to SAMHSA's Model of Trauma-Informed Approaches.
