(400) Pelvic Floor: From Your Core to Your Floor

Date: Tuesday, June 3, 2025
Time: 10:20 AM to 11:20 AM
Track: Continence
Session Type: Concurrent Session

Description

The Pelvic Floor: From Your Core To Your Floor session will give a brief overview of the Anatomy & Physiology of the pelvic floor (just a quickie, I promise). In this session, we will mainly focus on tips, tricks and exercises to support optimal function of the pelvic floor. We will also be reminded of the importance of education and awareness needed by healthcare providers to relay pelvic floor information to their patients. Because of the private nature of the subject area, the pelvic floor is often overlooked or ignored due to embarrassment. Awareness and education is key to helping our patients decrease symptoms and improve their quality of life. The pelvic floor is a small set of muscles with big responsibilities, giving those muscles a little time and attention will go a long way. This session alone will be extremely informative, but is a great follow-up last year's session, Pelvic Floor: From “A to Pee to Z”.
