Description

This session will discuss current recommendations for prevention of UTI’s in a variety of settings including acute care, skilled care, and community settings. In addition, risk factors and updated financial cost associated with UTI’s will be shared. Scenarios will be presented utilizing the IpCare algorithm, what to do for a patient when an indwelling urinary catheter has been removed.
