Reducing hospital-acquired infections like CAUTI and pressure injuries, while ensuring patients’ skin integrity, safety, and comfort, requires multiple approaches. A strong understanding of incontinence management is essential to succeed. Studies indicate that many caregivers lack adequate knowledge about continence care products, their proper use, and overall management strategies. This session will address managing urinary and fecal incontinence in acute care environments by utilizing available products and integrating research and best practices to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
