Description

Fecal incontinence is a common and often devastating problem for patients. It can be frustrating for providers to manage as well. This session will review the risk factors for fecal incontinence. In addition, the medical workup for this condition will be outlined. The common treatments will be summarized, with emphasis on sacral nerve stimulation. The indications, technical aspects of the device, and expected outcomes will be reviewed.
